Net High Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen
Saturday, 12. December 2015
Gus Hansen experienced a marvelous year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only one to achieve final game in three of the events. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may remember one of the largest pots in high stakes poker history against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a big pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Gus has made many televised poker appearances and is considered to be one of the strongest players around the world. While participating in internet poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. He frequently plays in the 200/400 No Limit max buy-in of $40, 000. Hansen generally buys-in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very weak. He sits there waiting for a decent hand and then goes all in. I know Gus is a great poker player but not even close to the familiar players at 200/400NL. Unless he is broke, he has little or no reason to play at the game with the minimum buy-in.
Buying in for the minimum takes almost all of the ability out of deep stack poker. Hansen is presumed to be one of the best players anywhere in the world but he can’t buy-in for the total amt.. I believe tv can skew our perception of the real world every now and then. The greatest players anywhere in the world might be guys you have won’t have heard of. Gus can be found betting on internet poker on Full Tilt. He commonly competes in high stakes Omaha and hold’em. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his talents in money rounds?
