Caribbean Poker Regulations and Tricks
Tuesday, 3. November 2026
Poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years many variants on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little conniving or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the croupier broadcasting "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other gamblers acquire 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s initial card, you must in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes directly to the bank. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including a sum equal to the original bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The casino pays chips even with your original bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
