A Couple of of Poker’s Great Pros

Literally millions of people are trying to be the next "star" in poker, but here is a short list of 4 of the more famous "great players" of poker. Granted "nice" is associated with their names when you are playing them it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the game!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his tourney payouts amounted to in excess of $4.4 million and he came away with two immensely respected awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was named Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. Daniel even still has the humility to speak to his fans about how they can boost their own game.

Howard Lederer

Known as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His achievements have allowed him to make an educational poker video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of 2005, his total life time earnings surpass $2.7 million.

Scotty Nguyen

Scotty is 1 of the busiest players in professional poker and from 2000 and Two Thousand and Four he finished in the money in more than one hundred competitions. He’s noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also coined the term "that’s poker baby" when referring to a particularly bad beat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time winnings are just about $6 million.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has won five WSOP titles with two of his wins happening in Two Thousand and Three. Has the nickname "Jesus" because of his characteristic long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw cards quick enough to cut through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total poker tournament earnings exceeded five million dollars.
