Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the western in a wonderful game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the croupier, unlike the majority of other poker games that players compete against other players. By betting against the dealer, new players don’t need to be concerned about any other, more knowledgeable people winning their cash.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game pace, newcomers can take their time and strategize while not having to make quick decisions.

It’s also much simpler to wager on for a very long time with just a little amount of cash since, to lose, both of your hands needs to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the croupier is dealt 7 cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand must be put together from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be better than the dealer’s.
