Have you seen the new PokerPro texas hold em poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about two weeks ago when I took a quick getaway with my wife to the WinStar Gambling establishment in Oklahoma.
As I anxiously waited for my turn to be summoned at the live tables, I observed how the other men and women at the PokerPro tables relate with one another. It was very intriguing to say the least. Because the poker table was controlled by a computer, there were no poker chips to do any chip hints, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was stagnant. Perhaps I was the only one that recognized this, except I did notice the gamblers at the table had a dull quality to them. The reason for this may possibly be because there was no human interaction with the dealer, the atmosphere was rather boring and the gamblers looked bored stiff. It was almost as if I was seeing a live version of a web based texas hold em poker room rather than sitting with hot blooded humans. It was a tiny bit freaky and I kept flashing back to an episode of Star trek and the holodeck malfunctioned.
Since the waiting time for the live tables for more than an hour, I made the decision to observe how the casino game action was and to experience this new texas hold’em poker gaming technologies. Following betting a couple of hands, I definitely felt like I was wagering at house. The lack of activity at the table was the primary reason. I prefer to stack and shuffle my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those items are possible at these electronic tables.
An additional thing I observed was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a lot of hands at the PokerPro table and noticed that the bet on was a whole lot like an online hold’em poker website. That might have been just a coincidence, but I discovered it to become quite odd.
Soon after playing a couple of rounds with this "new texas hold’em poker technology", I made a decision that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I’m better off playing texas holdem poker on the net at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling house have been to obtain rid of the reside poker tables, I think they’d shed a good deal of gamblers.
