Taking a Drunk Mans’ Money at a NL Texas Holdem Poker Table
Friday, 17. September 2010
I am sure just about anybody who has wagered texas hold em poker in the place where they provide alcohol has had this encounter at one time or another. Everyone at the table was genuinely pleasant with the exception for Mr. I’m all in simply because I’m intoxicated. He had such a bad mind-set and I felt like I was on the web betting in a freeroll for a moment due to the fact he would just keep going all in. He’d occasionally just call a wager. Every single time he would just call, I recognized he had a horrible hand.
So, when it was my turn to call, I would raise with my good pocket pairs or my ace some thing. Each time he remained in a hand all the way to the river and then try to bluff. It was virtually as if he sought to give away his chips.
I played at that particular table for no less than three hours and I counted at least four times the man went to the Automatic Teller Machine and came back with at least 200 dollars in chips. I would say I probably got at least half of what he brought to the table.
The next day, following I got home and added up my earnings, I kind of felt bad for winning all that cash. But then again, that dude ought not to have been betting hold’em poker even though he was intoxicated!
A number of people might say that if I’ve to question my decisions, then sure, it possibly wasn’t the correct thing to do. But, do I feel bad about it, not actually.
My thoughts and opinions on taking a drunken person’s cash at the poker table is that if they are idiotic enough to bet on even though intoxicated and is being foolhardy, then have at it!
